As a female immigrant artist, I try to weave the themes of harmony, peace, and oneness in my art. People of all cultures inhabit our cities, and I like to honor that aspect through my art. With my roots in Sikhism, I share stories of people from my community. I want everyone to be acquainted with the where, how, and when questions that everyone has in their minds when they meet people of other cultures. I'm working on a series of artworks dealing with the Sikh pioneers and their connection to their roots.
